PRODUCTION CHEF

 

We are looking for a dedicated Production Chef to join our team at The Wimbledon Smokehouse, a renowned smoked fish producer known for quality and tradition. You will help prepare our homemade pies and sauces, while maintaining high standards across all our products. A genuine passion for quality food is essential.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Prepare food items in bulk according to standardised recipes

• Follow daily production schedules and complete production records 

• Ensure portion control and food quality standards are maintained

• Monitor food storage, labelling, and rotation of stock

• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP compliance)

• Assist with inventory control and report shortages

• Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

• Minimise food waste and control costs

• Support other kitchen staff as needed

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations

Key Requirements: 

• Basic IT

• Knife Skills

Location & Shift Schedule: 

Wimbledon SW19 8UG 

Monday - Friday, 6am - 3pm

JUNIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER

 

Junior Account Manager is responsible for managing and developing customer relationships while ensuring the smooth day to day operation of key accounts for The Wimbledon Smokehouse. The role combines customer service, sales support and commercial management to our B2C and B2B customers to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

 

Working closely with production, logistics and finance, the account manager will ensure customer orders are processed accurately, deliveries are well organised and client needs are met with high standards of service.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing wholesale customers and with our shop managers.

• Act as the primary point of contact for enquiries and account management.

• Support production staff with packaging and labelling of online orders.

• Help support Operations Manager to grow existing accounts and new business.

• Process order effectively and efficiently.

• Liaise with finance regarding invoicing, payments and credit issues where required.

• Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and processes

 

Skills and Experience: 

• Previous experience in a similar role eg. customer service

• Strong communication skills and relationship building skills

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Problem solving and critical thinking
